Tracy Michaels is in his fourth decade of broadcasting, beginning his career in 1990 at a CBS affiliate in Colorado Springs. In 1997, he made the jump into satellite transmission working in broadcast operations for DIRECTV until 2001. From 2001 to 2003, he engineered satellite truck operations for Fox Sports in Chicago.
Michaels joined PSSI Global Services in 2003 as a freelance satellite uplink operator and advanced to become the company’s director of project engineering in Las Vegas. In this role, he oversees engineering from start to finish, both in pre-planning and on-site as engineer in charge (EIC) for all major high-profile client events, such as awards shows, pay-per-view transmissions, corporate events, and large sporting events both domestically and internationally. In addition to overseeing engineering assets and projects company wide, his largest focus is the engineering relations for PSSI / Strategic Television with TKO (WWE and UFC).
