Erica Smith joined the WNBA in June 2024 as partnership director, where she leads the growing team that consults and services strategic partners that exclusively sponsor the WNBA – including Bumble, Delta, Deloitte, Glossier, Mielle, Opill, and Reebok.
Prior to joining the WNBA, Smith was a senior marketing manager on the Sports and Entertainment Team at PepsiCo Beverages North America. In her role, Smith managed the transition of PepsiCo’s NBA and WNBA league sponsorships from MTN DEW to STARRY, partnered with All-Star athlete endorsers across multiple brand campaigns, and managed the 3-Point Contest and brand activations at NBA and WNBA tentpole events. Her additional career experiences include multiple marketing and research roles at Frito-Lay and Nielsen.
Smith is a graduate of Howard University (BBA 2011) and Indiana University (MBA 2017), and she currently resides in Stamford, CT. In her free time, Smith enjoys spending time with her family, attending concerts, trying new restaurants, and DJing.
