Dana Rubin

USL
VP of Media

Dana Rubin is an Emmy-award winning producer and the VP of media for the United Soccer League. At the USL, she is working to expand the league’s presence on all platforms through their game productions and original content.

Most recently, Rubin launched the broadcast infrastructure of the USL’s first ever professional women’s league, the Super League. She collaborated with some of the best in the business to design the look and feel of the league, creating unique theme music and graphics, and debuted with sold out crowds to audiences on Peacock.

Rubin previously served as the director of broadcast and content for the National Women’s Soccer League, where she was on the forefront of creating, not only how the league was seen on TV, but implementing the infrastructure that brought all of the league’s games to fans across the country for the first time ever. She was at the helm for the league’s exponential audience growth that began in 2020. Using innovative technology, that allowed the league to be the first professional sports league in the country to return to play during a global pandemic, the NWSL reached its biggest viewership numbers to date – showcasing a 250% increase in audience size during the first ever Challenge Cup tournament.

Rubin’s experience as a feature, field and documentary producer, during her decade+ at Major League Baseball Productions, provided the perfect launch pad for her future. She started her film and TV career after receiving her B.A. in journalism, from Boston University’s College of Communication.
